Authorities in northern MS say one of three men they say escaped from a county jail has been captured in Alabama.

"Once back in our custody, Lindsey was officially charged with felony jail escape, felony malicious mischief and two counts of grand larceny", said Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar.

According to the Clarion Ledger-the MS newspaper closest to the jail from which the trio escaped-said law enforcement established a "containment area" in Colbert County, AL hoping to trap the remaining two escapees, but as of this evening, they're still at large.

"A whole slew of search personnel came into the area there and formed a perimeter and were able to contain the individuals", Tolar told Fox News. Deputies are stopping vehicles in the area while they search for the men.

Lindsey, along with John Michael Brown, 40, of Rienzi; and David Joe Glasco, 38, of Ashland; escaped from the Prentiss County Jail around 1 a.m. June 1.

Lindsey was being held in the Prentiss County Jail on a burglary charge, Brown on a charge of possession of stolen property and Glasco on a charge of sexual battery.

U.S. Marshals, the Cherokee Police Department, Alabama State Troopers and the Colbert County Sheriff's Department were among the teams assisting with the search, aided by police dogs and a helicopter.

Tolar emphasizes the men should be considered risky and should not approach or attempt to apprehend them.

According to WTVA, the three men should be considered risky.

Investigators in Colbert County believe they have found where the truck entered a wooded area. If you encounter the escapees you are urged to call 911.
