It's the 2017 Met Gala, fashion's most star studded, glitzy (and extremely expensive) night of the year, reserved for only the rich and famous. Following the main event, though, Rihanna's Met Gala afterparty dress channeled a more undone look that gave off some chic Holly Golightly vibes.

As the glamorous NY event tops social media trends for another day, here are some of the best celebrity posts.

Kendall Jenner was practically naked in her see-through La Perla dress, and her close friend Bella Hadid wore a sheer and backless bodysuit by Alexander Wang. "Ain't no party like a restroom party", she wrote in the caption.

Britons were out in full force with entertainers and actors attracting attention on the red carpet. Apparently Madonna thought it was pretty amusing too...

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star's photo also includes supermodel Lily Aldridge, Michael Jackson's daughter Paris and Moonlight actor Ashton Sanders. Elizabeth Chambers Hammer shared similar picture from a different angle.

Thankfully Caroline did manage to redeem herself, somewhat, earlier in the day when she joined Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna to launch the latest Costume Institute exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

After recently shaving her hair for a new role as a cancer patient, model Cara Delevingne embraced her bald head with silver paint and Swarovski crystals.

The Met Gala 2017 paid a fitting homage to the iconic Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo, whose style lexicon has always been about being off-kilter and asymmetrical.
