In the midst of a resounding and redemptive victory, the Spurs' celebration came to an abrupt stop when Tony Parker was carried off the court with what appeared to be a serious left leg injury.

After losing the first game of their Western Conference semifinal series by 27 points, the San Antonio Spurs punched back in a major way against the Houston Rockets in Game 2.

Parker departed with 8:43 remaining.

"It's hard to see him limping and hurting now, and you kind of know we're not going to see him any time soon", Ginobili said. That is a tough blow.

Houston isn't venturing into the great unknown in structuring a game plan suited for slowing Mills and not Parker.

And the injury left the Spurs feeling the same.

While you expect the Spurs to figure it out, it might take them a little bit of time, and by the time they get it just right, it could be too late. He could decide that this is simply the end of the road, and no one would blame him.

Still, Ginobili said, the Spurs are going to miss Parker on and off the court. "I missed shots. I didn't convert my layups". That said, San Antonio can't really slow down Houston either, so the points are going to be needed.

"I'll tell you one thing", Mills said.

Both Harden and Russell Westbrook put up big numbers in the first round, but Houston advanced past the Oklahoma City Thunder because they gave their MVP candidate more help. In fact, Gregg Popovich would be well served to substitute Mills into Parker's place from the Game 2 starting lineup. LaMarcus finished with fifteen points and two blocks.

Green started out guarding Anderson in Game 2, but "ended up on many other guys", he said. "We played at our pace, not theirs".

The same can be said about Leonard when the Spurs have the ball. Look for Houston coach Mike D'Antoni to try and pick up the pace and shot attempts in Game 3. The over/under total for the game is listed at 213.5 points. Nene was ejected from the game.

He and Cleveland superstar LeBron James are now the NBA's only players to have scored 4,000 points and recorded 1,000 assists in the playoffs. He's fifth in total playoff assists with 1,137 and ninth in total playoff scoring with 4,012 points. Each team has won a game.

"He has the presence just like T.D. But what he brought to that team, I think it's unmatched". "We're all ready to step up and make an impact".
