"I went out there; I smoked [Daley] in every discipline", MacDonald said after his fight yesterday.

MacDonald's triumphant effort, which headlined the Spike-televised event at The SSE Arena in London, marked his first victory since October 2014. The company put on a hell of a show, delivering four finishes on the main card, with Cheick Kongo's points victory being the exception, but I predicted that one anyway in preview/prediction piece.

Despite suffering a submission (rear-naked choke) loss in the second round of his main event fight against Rory MacDonald Friday at Bellator 179, Daley was immediately on the attack.

"The Red King" will now face the victor of next month's Bellator welterweight title fight between current title holder Douglas Lima and surging division contender Lorenz Larkin.

"Paul is one of the best guys that I've ever fought".

The first round was utterly dominated by MacDonald, who looked in a different league to Daley. "When I walk into those doors now I'm going to destroy you, and that's it".

"The train is ready to keep rolling", MacDonald said. "I'm always bugging them and they know what's up". And outside of that, the big fights, the legendary fighters, they're around here in Bellator.

"It's a hard fight to call", MacDonald said. And I think I made a statement tonight. "Sign me up. Those are fan-friendly fights", MacDonald stated and added that he would be fine with fighting the likes of Chael Sonnen, Wanderlei Silva and Fedor Emelianenko at catchweights.
