There is speculation she may make it to the wedding reception later being staged at the Middleton family home in nearby Bucklebury.

"It's been a insane couple of years since my sister's wedding but it's had its upsides and downsides and I just feel really fortunate to be able to build a career as a writer", she said a year after her sister's wedding.

The bride received a rousing cheer from around 100 royal fans and residents who had gathered close to the church to catch the guests arriving.

Exact details have been kept under wraps, but what we do know is that an expensive glass marquee has been hired for the event.

Reports suggest it will be a lavish affair, with a nod to the groom's Scottish connections included in his outfit, entertainment and the food.

Vintage cars and posh portable loos have also been ordered for guests. They seemed relaxed as they strolled into the church - perhaps relieved they didn't have a role to play in the wedding party.

Middleton took the spotlight by surprise when she acted as maid of honor at the 2011 wedding of her sister to William mainly due to her svelte figure, the back of which was captured by many a camera. It would be their first big public engagement since they started dating a year ago.
