The three-run home run supplied the difference in the Angels 5-2 victory.

"We have a lot of confidence in our offense", manager Mike Scioscia said. "But the sooner the better".

Angels: RHP Ricky Nolasco (0-2) makes his fourth start of the season Tuesday in the second game of the four-game series.

Alex Bregman was inserted into the lineup at shortstop in place of Correa, who is considered day to day.

"You're always pleased any time you get an opportunity to help the team out to win", Pujols said. I like the Astros to continue rolling here, so give me Houston to win. Trout is hitting.343 (12 for 35) with two home runs against Keuchel in his career. He ran into a bit of trouble in the second inning, giving up a solo shot to Andrelton Simmons, but recovered enough to keep things going. Trout also drove in a run as they scored more runs than they had in their previous four games combined.

The Astros (9-5) had their five-game winning streak snapped despite first baseman Yuli Gurriel and center fielder George Springer belting home runs in the third inning. Bedrosian needed just six pitches to get a strikeout and a double play.

Jesse Chavez (1-2) allowed two runs and seven hits. Musgrove threw a fat slider right into Pujols' wheelhouse, who promptly distributed the ball over the Crawford Boxes. "I think they got on five or six times".

The homer by Simmons gave Los Angeles a 1-0 lead in the second inning.

Martin Maldonado and Yunel Escobar each singled to start the fifth-inning rally, and Mike Trout lashed a one-out double just beyond a diving George Springer.

Bud Norris pitched a scoreless seventh in his first appearance at Minute Maid Park since being traded by the Astros in 2013.

ASTROS KEY TRENDS: The Astros have won five straight games and are 6-0 in their last six games when facing a right-handed starter. "It's early in the season so I don't want to be playing out there hurting right now", he said. He'll test his hand out again during batting practice Tuesday and if all goes well, he could return to action later that evening, though the Astros may be cautious and ease their star back.

Before the game, the Angels acquired C Juan Graterol from Toronto for a player to be named or cash.
