Alvaro Morata wants Chelsea move

Alvaro Morata has already chose to leave Real Madrid this summer and has major interest from eight other clubs, say reports in Spain.

Andrei Kanchelskis believes Manchester United will be in big trouble if David de Gea leaves for Real Madrid, and has told the club to do whatever it takes to keep him this summer.

Morata's second coming at Real Madrid hasn't been as fruitful as he perhaps would have envisioned it to be.

Mourinho is in the market for striking reinforcements this summer after losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to a career threatening knee ligament injury while Wayne Rooney is also expected to move-on at the end of the season.

Morata has still managed to score an impressive 17 goals in his 15 starts in all competitions but he's reportedly growing exhausted of his bit-part role and could look for a way out of the Bernabeu at the end of the season.

With Morata eager to get regular game time, it is believed that a summer exit from the Santiago Bernabeu could be on the cards for the Spain global.

Mourinho, meanwhile, is understood to be keen to add another main striker to his United squad. The latest reports suggest that the Swedish striker could be out for 8-9 months, effectively ruling him out for half of next season.

As Sportsmail reported earlier this month, there has been tension between Mourinho and De Gea after the United manager blamed his goalkeeper for a lack of focus and assertiveness in the draws against West Brom and Everton. With Mourinho's options running thin, a striker has become the need of the hour.

Further, with Daley Blind having to fill in, it seems as though it's an area that Man Utd will prioritise this summer, and Varane would certainly fill that role well for the long-term if they can prise him away from Madrid and convince him that a move to Old Trafford is the ideal option for him to excel.
