When Porter, who started for the West, was announced as the game's MVP after a 109-107 victory against the East all-stars, an "M-I-Z, Z-O-U" chant broke out in the lower bowl as he posed for pictures with the trophy.

New Mizzou coach Cuonzo Martin recently hired Michael Porter Sr.as an assistant. "I just wanted to go out there and have fun".

He scored 17 points and had eight rebounds.

Porter Jr. offered up a simple (and maybe one-sided) solution: Play one-on-one with Phillips for the right to wear it.

Also impressive for the West squad was OR bound five-star guard Troy Brown.

Another San Diego native, 6-11 center Brandon L. McCoy, who is undecided, scored 13 points.

"I think for all of us there is a lot of pressure that people put on us", said Porter.

"I love that we're in the age of player's taking the power back", said Williams during the game's broadcast. After a solid week of practices and 14 points, three rebound and two block effort for the East he has proven that his ranking is deserved. Young finished with nine points and five assists.

He missed his first three shots-all from well beyond the arc-before making his fourth 3-pointer from near the line at the top of the key.

Knox's brightest highlight came in the closing seconds of the first half when he slammed home an underhand lob from Alabama-bound point guard Collin Sexton, who wrapped the ball around his midsection before the pass.
