Left hand starting to feel right for UFC contender Jimi Manuwa

He took out Corey Anderson in the first round, dropping him with a walk-off left hook that ignited his fellow fighters on Twitter. The 38-year-old is one of two men to defeat current flyweight and pound-for-pound kingpin Demetrious Johnson.

"I'm a big guy in my gym but I've got to do some growing", Anderson said. It was the last fight of the Irishman's UFC contract, but hopefully it's not the last time we see the Montreal-based fighter facing off against top-level opponents.

He said: "I want the victor out of "DC" and "Rumble" for a world title shot".

Haye, a former world heavyweight and cruiserweight champion, is now recovering from the ruptured Achilles that hindered him so badly in his grudge match with Tony Bellew last month.

Although the knockout loss has put him back a little, the TUF champion says he'll be the best fighter in the UFC one day. I greatly respect him, but he's been banned for steroids and that taints everything that he's done.

Jon Jones hasn't been as active, as the former champion was stripped of his interim title and has been serving a one year suspension ever since.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Jimi Manuwa def. Corey Anderson via knockout (left hook).

"I feel really good", Nelson said.

It was the second highlight reel knockout in a succession for Manuwa, who announced that he wanted the victor of the upcoming light heavyweight title fight between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson next.

After the win, though, he made it clear that he wants that challenge when he called for the victor of next month's title fight between Cormier and Johnson. "No problem. But I'm focused on the belt right now, and that's the victor of (the UFC 210 headliner)". "I'm going to fly to Las Vegas to meet with Dana, and we'll see what happens".

But at the end of the day, the UFC championship is Manuwa's priority. I don't want to win on points.

With talk intensifying of the most lucrative combat sports spectacle of all time coming to fruition, who can blame fighters from both boxing and MMA for trying to hype up potential cross-sport clashes of their own? The entire card streamed on UFC Fight Pass. And I've proven through my career that I'm not scared to fight anybody, because it's mixed martial arts. "I was expecting him to try some of his takedowns but he didn't cause me too many problems".
