No matter what any of the latest Oakland Raiders rumors might state or what any National Football League analyst might report, until the former Pro Bowl running back issues an official statement, Seattle Seahawks fans are still left with one major question this offseason: Is Marshawn Lynch unretiring or not?

- Lynch is property of the Seattle Seahawks and it remains to be seen whether he would be released or acquired through trade, most likely a late-round draft pick.

Per Peter King of The MMQB, Lynch "really wants to play for the Raiders".

The rumors about Marshawn Lynch playing for the Oakland Raiders always felt a little bit like a pipe dream. Reportedly, Lynch also only wants to play for the Raiders, choosing to remain retired if that isn't a possibility.

So as the weekend of Beast Mode Watch '17 came to a close on Sunday, the Oakland Raiders' recruitment of Lynch to come out of retirement a manner of speaking. "This is a great chance to accomplish both things". But, King makes a good point on this too, because if Seattle held steady on demands for a trade, things could get ugly inside their own locker room. "It's a complicated dynamic, but in the end Seattle's probably going to have to release him".

Lynch left Seattle with the front office and coaching staff grinding its teeth over him because Lynch was oftentimes a handful.

Lynch is an Oakland native, went to high school at Oakland Tech, and stayed close to home to attend Cal.

The soon-to-be 31-year-old running back last suited up for the Seahawks during the 2015-2016 campaign before retiring ahead of the 2016-2017 season.
