Adding to worldwide festival dates throughout the summer, Alt-J have also announced a show at the O2 Arena in London on 16 June as part of the venue's 10th anniversary celebrations. Titled Relaxer, the album's release is set for June 9 and, based on the new track, promises a fuller, glossier sound full of the quirks and experiments that make their style distinct.

"3WW" comes in the style of the "Intro" to 2014's This Is All Yours, which also featured a different-sounding but even longer instrumental opening. "3WW" showcases how much Alt-J has matured musically since their debut five years ago and their ability to go platinum despite their non-traditional song structures.

Writing on social media, the band said: "We'd like to thank you for your patience over the past year or so". Now it looks like Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green are throwing a new LP into the mix. It seems they were just spending a little more time polishing though, as this weekend the band announced their third album, Relaxer, is coming in the summer.
