"Razer Unleashes Latest 2017 14" Blade Laptop

The latest Kaby Lake processors also make the update, with the Blade offering an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor.

"The 14" Razer Blade will offer a 7th Gen Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, the powerful CPU of the new Razer Blade achieves double-digit increases in productivity benchmarks and is paired with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics.

Razer announced the latest version of the Razer Blade 14-inch gaming laptop, featuring the new Kaby-Lake CPU today.The Razer Blade line of gaming laptops have quickly become go-to laptop for gamers on the go since they were launched in 2011. Other niceties included in the new Razer Blade include Killer Wireless-AC 1535 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, HDMI 2.0, Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater Edition audio, and a built-in 70 WHr battery (battery life figures haven't been provided, however). You can order the Blade with Full HD display now direct from Razer starting at $1,899 (£1,799). Worldwide availability will rollout in March, while the 4K UHD model won't arrive until sometime in Q2. Other features include an anti-ghosting keyboard that is powered by Razer Chroma.

The 12.5-inch Blade Stealth Ultrabook won more than 20 awards in 2016, while the 2016 Blade and redesigned 17.3-inch Blade Pro was a huge hit with players and editors.

Buyers can now opt for a 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD, in addition to 512GB and 256GB capacities.

The Blade comes stock with a FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS display, but you can soon equip it with a 4K (3840 x 2160) touchscreen option, a first for the 14-inch model.

The new model will start at $1,899.
