Bob Odenkirk went on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and this weird bit of comic brilliance ensued.

"I thought the show was going to be about one thing and then the other thing happened, so I'm going to talk about the third thing I didn't expect", the host opened. "Evidently [Trump] did not even bring his meds with him".

"It's kind of hard to characterize the press conference - words fail me", Colbert added. Besides coming up with the flawless moniker for Sean Spicer ("He is the MC Escher of bullshit"), Colbert got the single best line of the night about the Flynn situation after making a joke about Flynn reading transcripts of his conversations with the Russian ambassador: "It's amusing because it's treason".

"We just learned from multiple intelligence sources that Trump aides were in 'constant touch' with senior Russian officials during the campaign", Colbert announced.

To Trump's claim "I inherited a mess", Colbert replied, "No". Show than it does with just about anything else you'll see on late-night television right now.

They all agreed Thursday night that the 45th president's first solo press conference that day was a spectacle worthy of much comment. But Colbert's broader audience wins make the differences between his show and Fallon's more distinct. But only a few hours later, he became a punching bag for all of late-night. "Trump also discussed the recent bombshell that his staff was communicating with Russian Federation and he said he hasn't made a phone call with Russian Federation in years".

After the press conference yesterday, the president was likely convinced he showed up the media.
