Since this week's episode came after the double elimination last week, some spoiler reports hinted the possibility of no eliminations during the dance competition's results night on Tuesday.

As is tradition, numerous Season 23 hopefuls turned in their strongest performances yet during Monday's broadcast, using emotional stories from their pasts to channel their inner Mirrorball champions on the dance floor. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba praised his posture, hold, and technique, saying "OK, you are a miracle and I'm not just talking about surviving that crash". She said he saved her from a 5 years cocaine addiction! Her lines were gorgeous, her chemistry with Gleb was remarkable - that face-first trust fall was by far the evening's most ridiculous move - and her genuine connection to the choreography and song made Jana's dance worthy of countless rewatches.

In 1978, Marilu's mother died, and she also had her final audition for Taxi, a series that ran for five seasons and starred Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, Andy Kaufman, and Judd Hirsch. But, no one is a bigger fan of Jana Kramer than her adorable baby girl, Jolie Rae.

Gymnast Laurie Hernandez, a front-runner in the contest, delivered a fiery pasodoble that started as a solo contemporary dance. Luckily, Jana found the courage to leave, and now has a handsome baby girl, who she said healed all her wounds from her old heartbreaks.

We also saw some cameos this episode.

Among the highlights of tonight's broadcast was a surprise cameo by National Football League legend Jerry Rice during the end of Calvin Johnson Jr's jazz routine. His year was 2012 when he broke Jerry Rice's record of receiving yards in the NFL. "Perseverance" Bruno said she was focused, committed and fearless. Julianne said she was "really impressed".

In addition to a package with star power, Amber rocked this costume that she hoped to take home from the ballroom. Catch the episode on ABC at 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10.
