Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime vs. Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus: The Ultimate Battle

Xiaomi, smartphone company, launched the Redmi 3S in the city today.

The Redmi 3S and the 3S Prime are priced at Rs 6,999 and Rs 8,999 respectively. It bears a 4100mAh battery, and measures 139.3x69.6x8.5mm. Redmi 3S packs a punch with a large 4100 mAh battery that easily powers through two days of usage on a single charge, and is the first smartphone in India powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdrago 430 octa-core processor.

Regarding other specifications, both the phones feature a magnesium alloy unibody design clubbed with a 5-inch HD IPS display. The Company has already established its stronghold in the Indian market with the Redmi Note 3 and the Mi Max, all in the price range of Rs. 10,000.

The Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime share the same specs, but the latter comes with a fingerprint sensor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Redmi 3S being the successor of Redmi 3 also includes a finger print sensor at the back. The Redmi 3S is an upgraded variant of the Redmi 3S and is equipped with higher RAM and internal storage.

The Smartphone supports dual-SIM (Micro + Nano) with hybrid SIM slot which means the second slot also acts as a microSD slot and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Company's MIUI 7.5 On the top. Both models support external MicroSD card of up to 128GB. Here's what's new on the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime when compared to its predecessor, the Redmi 2 Prime.

Camera: In the camera department, the Vibe K5 Plus sports a 13MP primary rear shooter with a 5-piece lens and a 5MP lens on the front for selfies and video chat. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G are all included in the smartphone. Five images of the device were spotted on the website featuring a metallic body and rounded design, similar to the now available Redmi series smartphones. The alleged Redmi 4 smartphone is expected to be released sometime in mid-September this year.
