Trump on Colin Kaepernick: He should find another country

White America conveniently dismisses the history upon which this country was even built.

Kaepernick could scream insults at the country on national TV, talk about how we're a bunch of losers and how other countries are laughing at us ... if only he did so while belittling minority groups and promising rich people a better tax rate.

This is quite a turnaround for Trump, whose slogan "Make America Great Again" implies America isn't all that great and needs to make some real changes. There are people with that mentality that still exists, and that needs to change.

That, if you look discerningly, is what you'll find people are actually in disagreement about. Athletes are sensitive to the significance they hold in what one could deem as a second civil right movement. They categorize and they put them in a certain category.

"There is some depth and truth into what he was doing", Sherman said. I know Colin through [brother and former 49ers coach] Jim [Harbaugh], and of course, when he was out here [for a scrimmage in August 2014 between the two teams]. And then when somebody takes a stand like that, he gets his head chopped off.

The death of Muhammad Ali brought back recollections and tributes in which his activism was celebrated. "There has been inequality for some time now but to say that I want to be somewhere else would be a lie, because I love America and I will always want to be here". Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. I have seen the morals of a man who cares nothing of human lifeI have seen hate towards a nation's people who has never committed a wrong, except being born of a third world, ill-educated and ignorant to western civilization. "If he really wants to make change, sitting his butt down [during the anthem], that's not going to change, that's going to get people very upset and he has to understand that". "Not only do you have to deal with it but your family has to deal with it". You'll be able to walk down the street without getting shot. I think football is a tremendous asset but it can also be a motto for what it means to be a team. "You have Hillary [Clinton], who has called black teens or black kids super predators". His last letter home was written with much wisdom and reflection and he addresses numerous concerns you have, he even mentions you. The 49ers quarterback is biracial - his birth mother is white - and he was adopted by white parents. Instead of believing that police officers are poorly trained and operate like paramilitary, they'd rather tell people of color to submit and cower. "Reality confronts us all the time, there's no Sunday off".
