Residents of Princeton, a sleepy town of 3,500 about 40 miles west of Boston, were urged to use caution after Vanessa Marcotte's body was found Sunday.

Princeton Town Administrator Nina Nazarian said people in town scheduled a vigil for Tuesday night to honor Marcotte and show support for her family. They say "nothing has been ruled in or out" in the death of Vanessa Marcotte.

Neighbors will gather at the city's First Congregational Church Tuesday for a vigil, CBS Boston reported.

The first killing happened in the New York City borough of Queens on August 2, when Karina Vetrano, 30, was strangled to death while out for a jog along a path she often ran with her father.

Google, based in Mountain View, California, said it was "deeply shocked and saddened" by Marcotte's killing.

MA police say there's no sign Vetrano and Marcotte's murders are linked. An anonymous tip line was also set up. She was found dead just over 8 p.m. Sunday evening on the same street of her mother's home.

Marcotte's death came days after a 30-year-old woman, Karina Vetrano, was sexually assaulted and murdered while jogging alone along an overgrown path in New York's Howard Beach. Her body was found "stripped and damaged" with burns on her hands, feet and face.

Boston University professor Steve Quigley says Marcotte was very interested in search engine marketing when she was a student in his New Media class in 2010. Quigley says Marcotte "immediately knew that's what she wanted to do".

The Massachusetts State Police said they have set up an anonymous tip line and urged anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area Sunday afternoon to call police. Police wrote on their Facebook page that "no tip is inconsequential or irrelevant".

Marcotte attended Bancroft School in Worcester, graduating in 2007 and moving on to Boston University, where she graduated in 2011, according to her LinkedIn profile. She was described as much-loved among her teammates, a passionate volunteer worker, and lover of Boston's sports.

Princeton, Massachusetts, a little town of less than 3,500 inhabitants, was suddenly spotlighted after the dead body of 27-year old Vanessa Marcotte, a Google Account Manager, was found there near her mother's home.
