Armed with features from essentially everyone in the mainstream hip-hop community, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Nas, Drake, Future, Gucci Mane, production from Metro Boomin and Nineteen85 to name just a few, Major Key has managed to generate a whopping 95,000 equivalent album units so far.

This is the first time for the 40-year-old producer to hold the no. 1 spot on the chart.

After 12 non-consecutive weeks at #1, Drake's Views (YMCMB/Republic) has been dethroned by DJ Khaled's Major Key (We The Best/Epic). Khaled also stands as the top dog on the Album Sales Chart, as Major Key scores about 60k in album sales alone after a week-long Apple Music exclusivity period.

Drake now has a new view: from the No. 2 slot on the albums chart.

DJ Khaled has scored his first number one album in the U.S.

Besides Khaled, three more new releases slotted into the Top 10: Country artist Jake Owen's American Love nabbed Number Four with 35,000 copies, former American Idol champion Fantasia's The Definition Of... took Number Six with 32,000 copies and Lady Antebellum member Hillary Scott & the Scott Family's Love Remains placed at Number Seven and 31,000 copies.
